Nationwide Fencing Services Supports Major Television Production in Liverpool

Visitors to Liverpool’s Sefton Park recently discovered that part of the familiar landscape had been transformed by an imposing watchtower, extensive fencing and coils of barbed wire.

The dramatic installation forms part of the filming activity associated with Army of Shadows, a forthcoming six-part Channel 4 drama – and Nationwide Fencing Services was proud to help bring this unusual television project to life.

Fencing that helped transform a Liverpool landmark

Our team coordinated and installed the fencing required for the production, working to create the scale, appearance and controlled environment needed at the Sefton Park location.

Projects of this nature require more than simply delivering fencing to site. They demand careful planning, dependable coordination and an installation team capable of working efficiently around production schedules, other contractors and a busy public location.

The finished installation became a striking feature in its own right, attracting considerable attention from visitors and subsequently appearing in local media coverage.

From practical security to television scenery

Most of our work involves protecting construction sites, commercial premises, infrastructure and public spaces. This project demonstrated how those same skills can also support the film and television industry.

Whether fencing is required for practical site security, controlled access, production infrastructure or as part of the setting itself, every installation must be completed safely, professionally and in accordance with the wider project schedule.

For our team, it was particularly rewarding to contribute to a major television production taking place here in the Liverpool City Region.

The installation demonstrates the flexibility and experience Nationwide Fencing Services can bring to projects that fall outside the ordinary.
